Randy Daudlin is a veteran makeup artist, filmmaker, and author with over 38 years of experience in the film and television industry. Known for his work on productions like The Boys and Pompeii, he blends technical mastery with creative storytelling across screen, page, and classroom.
With decades of hands-on experience in both straight and special effects makeup, Randy Daudlin has left a creative mark on major film and television productions including What We Do in the Shadows, Spiral, and Cardinal. His unique ability to bring characters to life with practical effects has made him a trusted collaborator in the industry.
As a director and screenwriter, Randy brought his vision to life in films like Bottom Feeder and Static, showcasing his knack for suspense and horror. His novel Blood Promise continues that trend—offering readers a dark, visceral dive into the world of vampires, law enforcement, and biker gangs.
Beyond the set and the page, Randy is also a passionate educator. He’s taught at institutions such as George Brown College and Complections International, and regularly leads workshops to help aspiring makeup artists master the craft. His three professional guides—Hurt 'Em Reel Good, Reel Characters, and Reel Tips & Tricks are used by film professionals and instructors alike.
